Thermal Energy Storage have two basic of storage system that known is latent heat and sensible heat storage. Both have important aspect of energy management with emphasis on efficient use and reserve of the waste heat and solar energy in industry and buildings. Latent Heat Thermal Storage is one of the most efficient ways of storing thermal. however, to select form heat storage was depended by quantities of storage required. to store the same amount of energy, significantly lager quantities of a a storage medium are required for Sensible Heat Storage (SHS) than Latent Heat Storage (LHS) So that, Latent Heat Storage (LHS) is used to store solar energy that can increase the thermal energy storage efficiency; or makes possible to store and release high energy at a narrow operating temperature range and meet deficit between the energy demand and supply. Solar Thermal Storage has been characterized as a kind of thermal battery that can we used for our need like to generate electricity, provide hot water, heat and cool a house, provide lighting for building. Maybe shortly, i will call this function as heating ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. So specially in this case, i would take you to review latent heat thermal storage system in building application.
